

Playwing says it’s made the decision to delay the game’s PlayStation version in order to make sure it’s up to expectations, but assures that it won’t be long before it’s out, and that a specific release date will be announced soon. The game will now launch for PS5 and PS4 sometime this Summer. Playwing’s free-to-play multiplayer dragon battle game Century: Age of Ashes was due to launch for PlayStation consoles on July 19, which is today, but hours before launch, the developer took to Twitter to announce a delay. The developers add this: “We know that not sharing an exact release date can raise concerns but, rest assured, our team is hard at work debugging the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions, while polishing the recently released Xbox One version.Games getting delayed past announced launch dates isn’t exactly a rare occurrence by any stretch of the imagination, but you don’t often see a game getting delayed mere hours before release.
